PARKLAND PICKLEBALL OUTDOOR SUMMER KICKOFF (Men’s & Women’s Doubles)

Join us for a fun recreational men & women’s doubles pickleball summer kickoff.  You are guaranteed 3 games and there are 3 categories you are welcome to register in:

  1. Beginner: all humans welcome (if you have won a beginner tournament in the past, you must register in the Experienced category.
  2. Experienced: all humans welcome
  3. Just the Ladies: all levels welcome

 

THE DETAILS

When? Saturday, July 20. Rainout date is Sunday, July 21.

Time? Check in starts at 12pm. Games start at 1pm. We anticipate the finals will be around 5pm-ish. You will be asked to fill out a waver form when you check in the day of.

Cost? $20 per player plus GST & Eventbrite Fees.

Who can play? Each team is required to have at least one Parkland resident. Spectators are welcome.

What is supplied? There will be free water and snacks available.

What to bring? You are welcome to bring your own camping chair, water bottle, your own snacks etc.

How do I register? We have set up the registration on Eventbrite and the link is on www.park96.com.  If you have your pickled partner picked, please register both players in one transaction to make it easy for organizers.  The person paying is the team captain and will be the primary point of contact.

I don’t have a partner yet? If you are a single and would like to be paired up with another single please register for one person and we will do our best to pair you with another player.

 

The Tournament director reserves the right to combine, modify, or cancel skill levels/events and /or reschedule as needed.  Including circumstances beyond our control.  Your spot is not guaranteed until both partners are registered and paid in full.

 

VOLUNTEERS make the world a better place!

We would love your help during our Kickoff.  We have several areas needing support including:

  1. CHECK IN: 2 volunteers.  This is checking in each player and getting them to fill out the Waiver Form.  12pm-1pm
  2. SNACK TABLE: 2 volunteers.  This job is making sure the snack table is stocked, the water is cold, and the garbage and recycling are going where they are supposed to go. Time Commitment: With your volunteer partner you will casually watch the snack table throughout the day. 1pm to 5pm
  3. SCORE MANAGER: 2 volunteers.  After each game, both teams will come to the Score Manager to record the scores on the tracking board. 1pm-5pm
  4. SET-UP: 2 volunteers.  Assist the organizers with setting up for the tournament from 12pm-1pm.
